Kadalora Kavithaigal - Adi Athadi - Lyrics

The inspiration for this post is another Vijay TV's program called Lollu Sabha. Its a spoof show of popular movies poking fun at them. I happened to see spoof version of Kadalora Kavithaigal a movie directed by Bharathiraja starring Sathyaraj & Rekha. Swaminathan played Sathyaraj's character and another lady playing Rekha's character. This movie is one of the biggest hits during those days with excellent music by Maestro Illayaraja. Its difficult to pick my favorite song but since Illayaraja sang this song along with Janaki this has to be it. One of my favorite song of Legend Ilayaraja Sir sung by himself (will post more of his stuff which are my favorites)

The spoof show made best use of this song to evoke laughter and also make fun of, which is what the show is all about. I missed Jeeva in the show but Swaminathan did a great job. Infact after this spoof show was telecast it seems Rekha called up Swaminathan and blasted him for having made fun of such a great movie blah blah blah blah and for a minute Swaminathan didn't know what to say and he didn't know its Rekha who is on the other line. All of a sudden Rekha burst into laughter and broke the ice that its she who is on the phone and played a prank and said she had a good laugh watching the episode and congratulated the team. Swaminathan himself said this in one of the Lollu Celebration episode.
